Fort Street - Antique Row

On Fort Street between Blanshard and Cook Streets you will find dozens of antique shops within a couple of blocks.  Great architecture throughout the neighborhood. The shops come in all manner and variety of size and specialty. Some will take considerable time to go through as they're quite large. A couple of them really have great prices on some things too.

Government House
1401 Rockland Avenue

This is the home of British Columbia's
Lieutenant Governor.

I drove by it totally by accident one day and was intrigued about who's house was behind such a fancy wall. The gardens are open to the public, so go ahead and stop by to enjoy the formal rose garden and beautiful surroundings. The entire neighborhood is quite fun to drive around in and enjoy the great architecture.

Emily Carr House

Mountain Views & Coastal Trails

There are quite a few great mountain climbs around Victoria and other places with great vantage points for wonderful views and photography.

You can see clear to the sea on more than one side on the ones I've already been up.  So keep an eye out for new pictures all the time as I'll be continuously posting more and more pictures from around town, mountain climbs and coastal hikes, including sweeping panoramic photographs on my photography site.

Anti-Attractions (Over-rated/priced)

High Tea at The Empress - why pay over $30 per person to have a cup of tea when you can walk through and have a peek at things for nothing?

Undersea Gardens - If you see it and you still want to go... hey... it's your money... part with it any way you see fit.

Craigdarroch Castle - If you see it and you still want to go... hey... is there an echo in here?  If you're from Europe, this will only amuse you.
