Wow - what a
fantastic day. I didn't want it to end at all. First of all,
launching was a breeze. The ocean was gorgeous and calm and it was
just the greatest kayaking I can ever remember. I love kayaking in
lakes and rivers and harbours but there's something very special about
being in the ocean!
We saw a couple crabs and fish, but the highlight
of the day was undoubtedly the seals! A mom-seal and about 4
pups. Two pups stayed up on the rocks laying out in the sun with
their mom and two stayed in the water very near by playing around.
We got pretty close taking pictures and the mom
got in the water but only for about a minute. As soon as we backed
off she got back up on the rocks.
