Preface
You just are not going to believe the amount of love this channel has to give and share.  For a channel that actually discourages cyber-romances, we've had more than our share of real-life marriages!  See?  Your mother was right about being best of friends first all along!  Life-long friendships are always growing, slowly but surely, just like anywhere else.  Anyway, not so bad for a chan that started out dedicated to on-topic only discussions about geek-related computer stuff and touring musicians (mostly guitar and keyboard players) and some geek/musician combination types thrown in with some wonderful and loving newbies who just plain filled in the missing pieces!

Early 2001
Daydream is surviving the immigration process to stay in Canada with Menta... about 3/4 of the way done!  Viper and Blue are moving to Chicago!  (So Cool!!)  Spliffy doesn't hang out anymore but he is STILL cranking out great tunes - check it out!

Late 2000
The channel has been so quiet!  I hope everyone that used to hang out all the time is having a great time somewhere knowing they left us behind!  LOL  I'm so glad we all got to hang out together when we needed each other's company, and the good laughs we used to have.  See you all around when you stop in.  Wxornot has moved back to the mainland from Hawaii.  Glad to see you back wx.  Voodoo toured all summer with Collective Soul and Fuel - whoa - way to go Vood!

Early 2000
Menta and daydream got married May 13th, 2000!  This is the THIRD wedding #25+friends has produced!  Not bad!  Viper and Blueeyes3 (wedding #2) traveled from clear across the country to be in the ceremony.  Viper gave the bride away!  Blue's wonderful wedding pictures are posted online - ask for the URL in the chan.  What a lot can happen in one year, eh?

Fall-Winter 1999
Menta flew back down to Arizona and drove with daydream back to Victoria... engaged and together at last! Voodoo's band is doing extremely well, has airtime on MTV with their video STAIN and they also managed to get on two movie soundtracks, once of which is Scream3 - so lots of success there - well done Full Devil Jacket! We're so proud of you all!  

Summer 1999
Three big news items, first Mentaloid and dd finally got together IRL and managed not to get arrested... more to follow on that in the Fall. Missmary and KeEs got married!  They didn't hang out with us all much but they did MEET in #25+friends!  Voodoo's band signed with the Def-Jam Division of Mercury Records and they're all off recording their album, so we'll be able to get our hot little hands on that by this Fall I hope! RiNnY has returned and we had a big party and whupped our chanstats records!  Nice turn-out peeps!  :)  

Spring 1999
Tanny and Trick have returned to the fold, and we are so glad to see them around again! Power and Salsa went on a mighty fine camping trip with Lisa and the kids in upstate New York... I heard they were bear hunting (for shooting pictures, not bear!) but they did manage to make it back in one piece, so we're all so happy about that. Sideshow got a very cool job producing graphics for the #1 commercial TV station in Norway - Congrats Sidey!!!

Winter 1999
Voodoo's band Full Devil Jacket is about to go LARGE and we're all very excited about it. Spliffy is cranking out really great songs - you need to check 'em out!  Mentaloid and dd finally figured out why they've been hanging out together so long!  More to come in the following months! V|per and Blueeyes3 are still married, and Vipes has developed the cutest little southern accent you ever did hear, although Blue denies this.

Fall 1998
Big news! V|per and Blueeyes3 are married! There is no other news I can put here that won't pale in comparrison with that! Say it with me y'all "SEND IN A PIC VIPES AND BLUE!" Sweet huh? Yeah... I thought so. Everyone at #25 is smiling these days, for sure. Did I mention Spliffy is doing great in school and enjoying life in the big city of Toronto? There, ok... that's the news peeps :)

Summer 1998
25+friends has been enjoying a great summer. Kicked off by the annual listening event (Tibetan Freedom Concert, of course) and the Summer just kept a-rockin.  New Channel OP Tanny was an OP waiting to happen, and we're lucky to have her!  Spliffy lost his access and then got it back (again) so we're happy about that.  Blueeyes and V|per are happily ensconced in South Carolina and a certain OP had a great Summer with a certain other OP.

Spring 1998

New channel OPs Trick and Bogus and 25+friends gets a valentine's present! It's own web site, thanks in large part to salguod, thanks for all the help sal! Because of you, #25+friends is a better place. Uh-BOT retired after serving us heroically, thanks to JDPower and Underhill! We're happy to welcome Spliffy back to our cyber family, boy did we ever miss you!

Winter 1998
New channel OPs V|per, Mentaloid and dreamBOT.  The channel picks up some MORE steam and starts to actually be really entertaining for one and all. V|per quickly distinguishes himself as a first-rate OP with the friendliness and the instincts that OP money can not buy... WhooHoo!  Spliffy, a veritable fixture on #25 lost his internet access, and we await his return to the fold anxiously.

Fall 1997
Welcome to the new channel OPs salguod, Sideshow and Spliffy!  The channel finally picks up some steam and starts to show real signs of life!  Salguod picks up on the fun of popups and aliases and chatting away to everyone who comes along... a NATURAL and the undisputed king of pops and a ladies favorite.

Summer 1997
New channel OPs Fozzimoto and Mythic.  This Summer daydream becomes somewhat of a work-a-holic, and the channel gets kinda quiet for a while.

Spring 1997
daydream and Power become aware that the founders of #25+friends moved to Undernet, one of which remains our own Shelley.  Well anyway, we got to thinking what a great chan #25+friends always was and it would be a crying shame to let it lay down and die... So we got this goofy idea so save it from the dog catcher... and the rest, my dearests, is as they say - history.  And ya know that history is really boring and often times politically charged... so let's not get into it any further, and say we did, shall we?
